We recently had the pleasure of installing a hidden fence system at a home in Monroe, NY, for a special dog named Samantha.
Samantha is a 5-year-old golden retriever who was rescued from a difficult past. After spending most of her life confined to a crate, she has quickly adapted to her new environment and the warmth of her loving home. Unfortunately, Samantha was not familiar with the joys of outdoor exploration or the experience of being off-leash in a spacious yard. Her new owner wanted to ensure that Samantha could fully embrace her new life, filled with freedom and play.
Since the hidden fence installation took place during the winter months when the ground was frozen, we chose to leave the boundary wire above ground temporarily. This approach allowed Samantha immediate access to the yard, enabling her to enjoy the thrill of running and playing outside without delay. We plan to return in the spring to bury the wire, ensuring a neat and secure setup.
During her first in-person training session with our experienced trainer, Dave, Samantha displayed bright curiosity and keen attentiveness. Under his guidance, she successfully learned to navigate her new boundaries off-leash, showing respect for the designated areas while reveling in the snowy landscape and her newfound sense of freedom.
The customer noted that what set our service apart was the exceptional support we provided over the phone and the thorough explanation of our training and installation process prior to finalizing the booking. It was important to the customer that Samantha could get outside as soon as possible to enjoy freedom in the yard, so we accommodated her request.
It was truly exciting to witness the joy of the customer as she watched Samantha explore her yard, knowing that she could now play safely and freely thanks to a new underground dog fence from DogWatch.
